Gracie wanted me to tell you that she weighed 20 lbs 3oz on Monday at the Pediatrician! Now I know that many of you have six month olds that have hit this mark, but I have been WAITING for her to hit 20lbs for SO long! I don't know why this particular weight seems so exciting to me, but it just does! Maybe because we are FINALLY on that blasted growth curve chart! http://www.cdc.gov/growthcharts/data/who/grchrt_girls_24lw_9210.pdf
I was reading back over some of my first blog posts and I can't believe how far we've come. And damn, that was hard!

I am so glad that we never gave up on the journey for Gracie to lose the NG tube, although it was precarious. I would like to note that almost exactly one year ago is when we started weaning her. I am thrilled to report that today she slams 7-8oz bottles multiple times a day, eats cut up cheese, pancakes, pasta, sucks down those fruit and veggie pouches, eats tons of fruit, crackers and hot dogs, and pretty much anything we are eating. It's such a RELIEF!! To see her with some meat on her bones and hair growing in is so wonderful. This little chick is hard core and she's pretty much the coolest person I know :)
