Today is my first full day on my own with both kiddos. The fact that they are both napping right now and I can take ten minutes to update my blog is nothing short of a miracle! We have had lots of help and support while I have been recovering from my C-section and I now feel ready to rock and roll! And by that, I mean that I am still in my pajamas....but everyone is having a great day so I count that as a win! Ramsey and I have each been able to get out a little here and there, and we even went out together for dinner one night. Again, miraculous! ;) Gracie has been a huge helper- she is taking her role as "big sister" and "being two" very seriously and wants to do everything herself or help mommy do it :) Both kids have had lots of special time with all of the grandparents who have been a tremendous help :) We have even walked over to the park (when my Dad was here). And now that I have been cleared for exercise, I look forward to enjoying the waking path by our house with the kiddos in our spiffy double stroller! Happy Birthday Big Girl!! We had tons of fun celebrating Gracie's special day on March 3rd :) Ben was a very good little brother and slept through the party ...he, he....so no one (ahem) had to share the spotlight. Mommy and Daddy took Gracie to the train park where she went on the swings.... ...rode the train and the carousel... ...and then came home to find a special party waiting for her! Complete with cupcakes, Sesame Street decor, her special friends Pooh Bear and George, and grandparents! And did I mention, presents? Which can be used in various and creative ways ;) Gracie even blew out her Elmo candle all by herself! This created a bit of an "incident" as she was just as surprised as we were by her ability to do so! Here is a clip: http://youtu.be/6iMYM8vzitw (the best part is in the first few seconds) Now she likes to talk about (word/sign combo) how Mommy "set Elmo on fire and he was scared"....awesome...
