![]() Bro and Sis ![]() Mommy and Ben at Butterfly Wonderland! ![]() Daddy and Ben ![]() Good Friends :) ![]() Mommy and Kiddos at Bergies Coffee House garden ![]() Mommy and Moo (Gracie was a cow for her first Halloween and the nickname stuck!) ![]() Trio This post is all about our sweet little guy. I want to make sure that in the midst of his sister's adventures, we enjoy this precious time with Ben. This crosses my mind a lot as he comes along for the ride to Gracie's many appointments. And when he actually sees the pediatrician himself, his appointment is hijacked by updating the Doc on Gracie! Ha!
So here are Benjamin's stats as of his 4 month well-check today: Weight: 18lb 13oz- 90-95% Length: 26 3/4'- 95% Head Circumference: 17"- 90% We got the green light to try some rice cereal if he seems interested. If he likes that, we can try some green veggie baby food. I have so much feeding therapy training that I am already totally over thinking this- ha! Ben is a very sweet and happy guy but he really is sensitive. He likes to be held and cuddled so I get a lot of use out of the baby carrier. He likes the ocean play mat and jumperoo and he is very interested in holding toys and puts everything into his mouth! He drools like it's his job and is the king of diaper blow-outs ;) He is a great eater and sleeper- he sleeps through the night and has for a while! It's a total life saver. Bath time is a favorite for Ben. He is already kind of huge for his infant tub, but as he cannot sit up yet, we still use it. He loves to splash and the water seems to calm him down before bed. He LOVES the lamb swing, as did Gracie. And he sleeps in it, which is not what you're "supposed" to do, but it really helped through the collic/reflux-ish stage. But he is growing so fast that we will have to transition him to his crib soon. He is so typical as far as development, if not a bit ahead. I am always googling things only to find that, why yes, that's just what babies do! How novel! But his FAVORITE pass time is watching his big sister. He LOVES her. They are starting to giggle together and sometimes they like to hold hands :) Today Gracie was showing him a bunny that plays music which helped him to stop crying. She thinks he is pretty okay most of the time ;) but she likes it best when she has Mommy all to herself. However, when she sees Ben in the morning, he is greeted with a loud, "Brah!!!!!!" which is how she says "brother". Ben is very verbal already in that he babbles, squeals and vocalized a ton! This is also really fun for us as we sort of missed this part the first time around. Ramsey recently discovered that Ben is super ticklish which I will have to post a video of sometime :) Who doesn't love baby giggles? So that's the scoop on our low-key, drama-free, smiley, drooly man! ![]() Benjamin wanted me to tell you that "real men" sit in purple Bumbo chairs ;) Thanks to grandma for his special big boy seat! Just a few days before Ben hit the big 4 month mark, he started rolling over (only to the left and then he gets stuck on his belly and can't roll back!). Here's a clip: http://youtu.be/izZzUACHfIg |
